Helsinki, Finland — Finland’s Foreign Minister, Ilkka Kanerva, is an inquisitive man who will stop at nothing to get to the bottom of a question. Kanerva is facing strong public pressure to resign after sending 200 text messages to Johanna Tukiainen, an exotic dancer. When first questioned, Kanerva said the messages were work related.

In on of the texts Kanerva inquired what Tukiainen was wearing under her evening dress. It is not known if the answer satisfied the Foreign Minister’s curiosity.

Kanerva does have the support of Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen who believes private matters should not be mixed with politics. By the way, Vanhanen was the subject of a book by a former girlfriend who released intimate details about their relationship.
