Tony Buswelp

Perth, Australia–PerthNow–Western Australian Opposition Leader Troy Buswell has admitted to sniffing out the truth…or at least his affections.

In a tearful press conference, Buswell has admitted to sniffing the chair a female staffer sat in. The staffer said she was “horrified and embarrassed” by his behavior.

Similar incidents have become public in the past. Buswell admitted to snapping a bra and crawling around on his hands and knees in front of female staffers. Buswell was also accused of making sexist remarks to a female parliament member.

In the past, Buswell has claimed these charges were part of a negative campaign to undermine his Liberal Party leadership.

Deputy Liberal Leader, Kim Hames said Buswell is a “rough diamond with a robust sense of humor.”

Buswell does not intend to step down from his leadership position. He says he has the support of his party.
