The Netherlands health care minister has suggested that burka’s should be banned for health workers. He suggested that a nurse or doctor with a covered face could impair a patient relationship. In 2006, there was an attempt to ban the burka entirely. It is estimated about 50 women were the burka full time in Holland. One must wonder how the proposed ban applies to surgical masks.
