Nelson Mandela On US Terrorist List

Nobel Peace Prize winner and former South African President Nelson Mandela is on the United States’ terrorist watch list and must receive special permission to enter the country. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice called it “embarrassing.” Other members of Congress vowed to fix the problem. In the 1970 and 80, the African National Congress was classified as a terrorist organization. Other former members of the ANC now in the South African government have been denied entry or required special approval. If a simple matter like this cannot be fixed, how are the important things ever going to be done?
