Former Georgia state Representative John White would seem to have cause to be upset. After all, the wife of retiring Senator Michael Meyer von Bremen was seen driving over one of White’s signs, turning around and running over another. White is seeking election the the vacating Senate seat.
“I plan to bring charges because this was clearly a case of malicious intent. A person doesn’t drive off a road into a median to hit a sign, then do it again on the other side of the road without intending to do that. I don’t see what her point was,” said White.
The only problem is that placing a sign on a right-of-way in Georgia is a misdemeanor.
“I had no idea they were placed in a right-of-way; they were put there by campaign workers,” said White.
“This angers me. For somebody to intentionally do this, there had to be malicious intent. I keep wondering what is the point? I’m not running against her husband or anybody else in her family.”
Could it be that she was trying to remove illegally placed signs?
