Republicans Clash In Hot-Tempered Georgia Forum

What was expected to be a friendly forum between two Republican candidates for a Georgia Congressional seat turned into a heated, personal exchange. Congressman Paul Broun was criticized for his voting record and financial affairs by state Representative Barry Fleming.

Fleming called Broun’s politics “strange and outlandish”, referring to a vote Broun cast against a child pornography bill.

Fleming then turned onto Broun’s personal finances, a bankruptcy filing and alimony over a divorce.

How can you be a voice for fiscal conservatism with a background like that?” Fleming asked.

At that point, Broun shot back. “That all happened in 1982, a long time ago. I haven’t lived a perfect life. And frankly when you draw in my children and my family … I think that’s despicable. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. Unfortunately, you’re not.”

The Fourth of July Fireworks started a little early in Georgia.

Does anyone else think the Refer-a-Friend bonuses being given out are (in-part) a means to get low level players leveled up in time for WotLK? Get them into the fray, more addicted and increasing the longevity of their subscription? ;)
