In a CNN interview, former NBA star Charles Barkley announced his intention to run for Governor of Alabama. However, Barkley, who said he felt Barack Obama would make a “fantastic President,” probably needs to brush up on his political skills.

“I’m planning on running for governor. I can’t screw up Alabama,” Barkley said.

The “screw up” comment may not endear him to a lot of voters, but Barkley has never been one to pull words. His entry should make for an interesting race.
