Many observers think McCain is close to locking up the smaller Western states because of his pick of Palin. Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer is not so sure. He thinks Montana is tied, and Obama is ahead in Colorado and New Mexico. The polls do not quite show it that way, but Schweitzer is an optimist.
Schweitzer wants voters to know that Democrats relate to rural America. That must explain his uncoventional comment.
“She’s not the only one who’s been around a moose,” Schweitzer said. “I have too.”
Now if only moose could vote.
