Nearly three out of four picked either Florida or Ohio as the state most likely to screw up this year’s Presidential election, according to Foolocracy.com’s weekly poll.
Florida and Ohio were dead even at 36% each. Trailing far behind was Michigan with 13% and Pennsylvania with 5%. Colorado came in with 3%, New Mexico with 3% and Virginia at 2%. A handful of other states split the remaining 2%.
Florida and Ohio, of course, were responsible for post-election headaches of the 2000 and 2004 election. There is little surprise those two states topped the list. It is interesting that they tied. Michigan coming in second and Pennsylvania third makes you wonder if those polltakers know something about those states that the rest of us do not. I guess we will find out in November.
The results were accumulated from an online poll available to over 3,700 visitors who came to the website in the last week.
