Cadillac Finishing Touches On Tank-Like Presidential Car

Cadillac is preparing the final changes on the new First Car for Barack Obama. This car is similar to the one George Bush has used, but is larger and even more secure. Of course, neither GM nor the Secret Service will confirm details, but analysts are able to estimate from previous vehicles

The car will operate on a truck chassis from the GM Top kick. The windows will have at least 5-inch thick bulletproof glass. A 1½ inch thickness can stop bullets from military assault rifles. The 5-inch glass stops rocket-propelled grenades. The doors are estimated at 8-inches thick.

The car is also IED proof. It is built of exotic metals and blast-proof ceramics. Rumors are that the vehicle runs on diesel with a V8 Duramax

The car’s body will probably be made of dual hardness materials. The first layer breaks up the projectile, while the second layer absorbs the force.

Several cars will be built with the extras as backups and decoys.
