The “Kindergarten Cop” star turned Governor has found some more kindergarteners to police over.
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger called back the state legislature in another attempt to close the massive billion upon billion dollar debt that the state faces. Analysts figure there will be a $28 billion deficit over the next 18 months. It is estimated the state will run out of money by February.
The Republicans refused to back a Democratic sponsored bill to raise some taxes, and the Democrats refused to back economic incentives the Republicans wanted. California is one of the few states in the country that requires a 2/3 vote to pass a budget. In theory, that is supposed to create bipartisanship.
“You could see it’s like kindergarten up there, pointing fingers at each other,” Schwarzenegger said. “They did not live up to the challenge of what they ought to do.”
Kindergarten Cop II, now playing in Sacramento. This time the kids rule the school.
