In one of the odd twists of the last political campaign is a donation by the Obamas. Barack Obama did not contribute anything to his campaign, although Michele did give $399.
The $399 is not the unusual part. The unusual contribution is that the Obamas gave the legal limit of $4,600 to Hillary Clinton.
Of course, the contribution was after Clinton had lost the nomination. The Obamas did it to set an example to help retire Clinton’s debt. Still, it is not often a candidate contributes to an opponent’s campaign and not his own.
Presidential candidates usually do not contribute to their own campaigns. John McCain did not contribute to his campaign either, although he used Cindy McCain’s resources in other ways. She provided her jet to ferry McCain to many campaign events. Neither Joe Biden nor Sarah Palin contributed to their causes either.
Sometimes candidates do dump millions into a campaign.
Hillary Clinton gave $11 million to her campaign as a loan, but she will probably end up writing it all off. Mitt Romney dumped about $35 million into his losing campaign. Others have given millions to their campaigns in the past. John Kerry took out a $6 million loan on his house in his race. Ross Perot and Steve Forbes dumped millions into their campaigns as well.

On Dec 5 the Supreme Court will either allow or disallow the usurpation of both the Constitution and the Government of the United States — easily the most pivotal decision since our nation’s founding — and the silence of the news media is deafening (if not downright scary).
