Increasingly, it appears that North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il is in control of his country and in relatively good health.
The Commander of the US Pacific Command, Admiral Timothy Keating, said, “He’s alive and he remains in control.”
The French doctor who is rumored to have operated on Kim after a stroke in August also confirmed that Kim is recovering.
The unpredictable North Korean government is also acting a bit feistier than it has the last few months.
Regarding the shoe-throwing incident with George Bush in Iraq, the government newspaper called Bush’s demeanor after dodging the shoes like that of a “rain-soaked cock.”
North Korea has also accused South Korea of trying to kill Kim with a planted spy and “violent poison.”
It might be true. Both countries have engaged in attempted assassinations in the pat. Still, no one from outside North Korea has seen Kim in months so an assassination attempt sounds a bit foolhardy.
