In One North Dakota County Barr Outpolled Obama

An election always has a few strange results and the last Presidential election is no exception.

In one of the odd results of the November 4 election, a small North Dakota county cast more votes for Libertarian Bob Barr than Barack Obama.

Grant County, North Dakota reported these returns:

  • McCain 587
  • Barr 297
  • Obama 280
  • Baldwin 148
  • Nader 17

In that county, it was not just Bob Barr’s votes that were unusual, but Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party who polled 148 votes.
