Racist jokes about Barack Obama have been circulating throughout the Alaskan government. The jokes have come in the form of emails circulated among state workers.
For example, one the emails asked what was the outcome of the Presidential election. The answer: “Another black family living in government housing.”
Governor Sarah Palin’s office has been alerted about the emails, but issued no comment. Administration Commissioner Annette Kreitzer did say that if any state workers were identified, they would face discipline.
Disciplined how exactly? How was Governor Palin disciplined for abuse of authority? When are politicians going to start going to jail like they impose on their people?
Frankly, every president is going to have jokes about them. Racist jokes about Obama are in extremly poor taste because it somehow implies he is not fit for his job. As long as Obama makes clear he is a capable president, thes jokes will not matter.
