Congressman Peter King of New York thinks Barack Obama has a secret plan … or something sinister in mind. King, New York’s contribution to the politically challenged, just hasn’t figured out what Obama has up his sleeve.
King is a bit ticked off that Obama wants to use his middle name “Hussein” while taking the oath of office.
He calls Obama’s decision to use his middle name a double standard. During the election it was supposed to ring a bad connotation to voter’s ears, so most pundits and the McCain campaign did not use it. Others, like Ann Coulter, went to the other extreme and used it all the time.
Obama said he is holding to tradition that most Presidents use their middle names while taking the oath. That is true — most, but not all, have.
Still, most people would feel this is a personal choice and no big deal. Oh, no, not Peter King.
Here is King, quoted in Politico.
“Whatever his reasons are,” King said, “the one he gave us could not be the reason.”
Yep. That’s Peter T. King telling you that Barack Obama has a secret reason to use his middle name during the oath of office.
Somewhere there’s an extremist, right wing, ethnocentric blogger who has finally put together the next Obama conspiracy: The use of the “Hussein” middle name is a terrorist code word.
Of course, I look at this a bit more psychologically. Congressman Peter T. King uses his middle initial all over his literature, but I can’t find what it means. I’m sure it’s out there … and is probably some obscure Anglo-Saxon name that makes “Hussein” sound perfectly normal.
So my theory is Peter T. King has a neurotic hangup on middle names and a little envy that Barack Obama gets to take the oath as the next President.
Anyone know what his middle initial stands for?

As one who has been accused of being somewhat harsh on the President Elect,I must defend Him on this. If Mr. King believes there is some sort of “Secret” message, or maybe a plot that will be enacted by Obama using his middle name, I suggest the good Congressman seek Proffesional Help. I see nothing wrong with a man wishing to use his “Full Name” at any time, I go by my middle name–therefore I also am trying to relay a message? The congressman needs to get back to work on important issues, and leave meddling to the Media!
