It looks like Louisiana Senator David Vitter has a Republican opponent in his Senate primary next year: an anonymous porn star.

Vitter, who was caught up in a Washington, D.C., prostitution sting, has been considered vulnerable and targeted by the Democrats.

Last November, someone placed an ad on Craigslist seeking a registered Republican who worked in the adult entertainment industry. The ad has since been traced back to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

Now a second ad has been placed on Craigslist stating: “WE HAVE FOUND OUR PORN STAR, AND SHE NEEDS A STAFF.”

After a press conference in 2007, where Vitter apologized for his mistakes, he has refused to discuss the prostitution scandal. Democrats are hoping that their mystery candidate will provide a continuing embarrassment for Vitter during the campaign.
