Republican Congresswoman Michelle Bachman of Minnesota may be the biggest nut in the House.

In an interview with a conservative talk-show host, she passed on these gems (none of which are true):

-ACORN is under federal indictment.

-ACORN is getting $5 billion from the stimulus package (that’s $5 billion she said, not million).

-The stimulus package is a plan to direct money from Republican areas to Democratic areas but it won’t work because, “We are running out of rich people in this country.”

-Obama is orchestrating a conspiracy in the Census Bureau to realign the Congressional Districts after the 2010 census so that Democrats are in power for “40 years.” Nevermind, that it’s the states that do the redistricting.

This  lunacy helps explain why Congress always has such low approval ratings.
