stormydanielsLast week Foolocracy reported that a porn star was being recruited to run against Republican Senator David Vitter of Louisiana. Vitter was involved in a prostitution sting as a senator. He has tried to avoid any public discussion of the matter since his initial apology.

It appears that the porn star is Baton Rouge resident Stormy Daniels.

Although the Democratic Party has been implicated in the search of a porn star, Scott Jordan, spokesman for the Louisiana Democratic Party, denies that the party is involved in the online Draft Stormy movement.

Politico reported Jordan’s response:

“The Louisiana Democratic Party is not affiliated with the ‘Draft Stormy’ initiative – that movement is a nonpartisan, grass-roots effort,” Scott Jordan, spokesman for the Louisiana Democratic Party, told us. He added: “If their recruitment effort works, it will surely be interesting, for example, to hear David Vitter explain his vote against the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act to Stormy Daniels.”

The Draft Stormy movement has its own website with catchy phrases like, “It’s the economy, sexy” and “There’s a Storm a brewin.” It looks like part of Daniel’s platform is the protection of children. That may seem a bit odd from a porn star, but here is Daniels take on that.
