Irish PM Reads Obama’s Speech By Mistake; Obama Thanks Self For Event

cowenobama1Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen was at the White House Tuesday night giving a speech for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration. About 20 seconds into the speech, Cowen realized it was not his speech he was reading from the teleprompter but the one President Barack Obama had given moments earlier.

Cowen turned to Obama, “That’s your speech.” Cowen then turned the podium back to Obama.

Apparently flustered, Obama then thanked President Obama for inviting everyone over.

The luck of the Irish?

Outside, the White House fountains flowed with green water, while inside green wine filled many glasses. Obama later had a comment about Iris beer. “Guinness tastes very different in Ireland,” Obama said. “It is much better. You guys are keeping the good stuff for yourselves.”

Where is the video of this? It can’t be found anywhere on the web, I’ve just wasted an hour trying to find it..:/

If you can find it, I’ll post it. It’s a bit odd that it can’t be found. I thought everything was caught on camera now…and placed on Youtube.
