- States are reconsidering their harsh drug laws amidst budget shortfalls. Suddenly a $15,000 annual drug treatment program for an addict sounds more reasonable than a $45,000 annual inmate cost.
- A new bill introduced into the Senate would establish the Office of the National Cybersecurity Advisor. The President would be given vast power to monitor and control Internet traffic to protect against threats to critical cyber infrastructure.
- Some Oregon lawmakers have introduced the “Honest Pint Act.” If it passes, an inspector will go around and make sure that bars have glasses big enough to hold 16 ounces and a head of foam. This is what happens when politicians gather in a bar and try to figure out new laws.
- The Obama administration is running into some institutional roadblocks on its promise for transparency in government.
- Sarah Palin attacked Levi Johnston after he went on the Tyra Banks show tattling about his sex life with Bristol Palin. Meanwhile, Todd Palin’s half-sister was arrested for the second time after breaking into a house in Wasilla. Just think, if the election had gone differently, this could be all about the Vice President’s family…Not that Joe Biden’s is much different.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackObama at the G20 jointly produced a document to control “all firms” on the earth. It is not just the banks. They claim power over any firm ‘essential’ to the economy.
