mirektopolanekFormer Czech Prime Minister, Mirek Topolanek, who resigned in March after losing a no confidence vote, admitted that he was the naked man poolside at the party of Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. Topolanek at first denied that it was he in the photo, but admitted to it yesterday.

An “excited” Topolanek is pictured here.

Berlusconi is embroiled in two scandals at the moment. One involves an 18-year-old model, and the other the now widely distributed photographs of a nude party at one of his homes. That same model also attended the party when she was only 17-years-old.

Topolanek claimed that the release of the photos is a “left-wing plot” to influence the European Parliament elections now being conducted.

The Spanish newspaper El Pais broke the story with the publication of the pictures. Berlusconi and Topolanek are vowing legal action, but El Pais responded, “We believed that they are of general interest, because [it] involves him and because they intervene in the controversy opened in his own country over what is the use of private use of what [is] public and vice versa. That’s why we published.”

Berlusconi is also being investigated by Rome prosecutors amidst allegations that he used Italian air force jets to fly in guests to his private villa in Sardinia.

Berlusconi said Topolanek was there on a state visit and no extra public expenses were involved.

That’s quite a state visit.
