Everyone can find the humor in catching politicians in humorous or embarrassing situations. Just recently, a picture circulated suggesting that Barack Obama and French President Nicolas Sarkozy were watching the behind of a young woman at the G-8 meeting. Obama was clearly exonerated in a deeper look at the photo, although some still question what Sarkozy was looking at. Nevertheless, that represented an instance where overzealous photographers tried to make a story out of nothing.

Even more disturbing are these three photos that suggested Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and Sarkozy were tottering around drunk. If you look at this photo, the three appear to be engaged in more than the world’s economic troubles.

Fortunately, a video of the moment was also shot and shows that the three leaders were sober and engaged in the serious business of the G-8 meeting. Once again, it is clear that the camera can lie, especially when used by an unscrupulous journalist.
