Congressman Claims Obama Wants To Declare Martial Law

paulbrounGeorgia Rep. Paul Broun, who last year compared Barack Obama to Hitler, had some smelly words to say about Obama’s health care plan.

“This is a stinking, rotten fish, and they don’t want you to smell it, and they want to shove it down your throat and make you eat it before you smell how rotten and stinky it is,” Broun said.

Broun said young people would get preference over older people in the Obama plan.

“Eventually, mama will be lying in bed until she gets pneumonia and dies,” he said.

While there is reason to disagree with any legislation, Braun seems intent on looking for exaggerations and outright deceptions.

He even took the debate a step further into fear mongering.

Broun called Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid a “socialistic elite.” That is not so bad as name calling goes in politics, but Braun also said that the three might use a national disaster to declare martial law.

Where do people get these ideas? Even more importantly, why do they use them? Are Broun and his allies’ ideology so barren and weak that they can only harbor support by suggesting that the President wants to overthrow the American political system?

Stick with the “rotten fish” comparisons, Broun. At least there you can express your views on real legislation, not made up fantasies designed to create fear that martial law is coming.

I think every republican deserves to get cancer, have their insurance company immediately drop them, and die a slow, painful death. That’s what I think
