- New York Governor David Paterson, who is about as unpopular a governor as there is around (aside from that fellow in South Carolina), has expressed his interest in appearing on Saturday Night Live where he is frequently lampooned. “I have offered to come on and show them what real comedy is,” said Paterson.
- A retiring official in an Australian power and water agency wanted to give back his retirement gold watch to his boss with a jar of lubricant.

- Barack Obama just suffered the largest approval ratings drop for a quarter since 1953. Obama’s rating dropped 9 points in the third quarter.
- Wisconsin Assemblyman Jeff Woods, who was already under the threat of being expelled from the legislature for having two driving while under the influence arrests in the last year, just got his latest one.
- Canada has banned flavored cigarettes and tobacco advertising in magazines and newspapers.

- Louis Farakhan believes that the H1N1 vaccine is designed to kill people. I’m sure that in his mind, it is also aimed towards black people.
- A 32-year-old Tennessee man on the sex offender registry was arrested when he brought his daughter lunch at school. Of course, the kids have to be protected, right? Well, the guy’s offense was 13 years ago when he was 19 and had sex with his 15-year-old girlfriend. That is the major problem with the sex offender laws in this country. Two teenagers have sex and one gets his life ruined just as its starting out.
