- China has accused Google of censorship.
- A Minnesota man is running for President of Croatia, and he may have a chance to win.
- Millions of federal funds earmarked for an early warning tsunami system were misspent in American Somoa, probably causing an unnecessary loss of life last month.
- Women have been banned from wearing trousers in an Indonesian province.
- Nearly one-half the voters do not think Sarah Palin has the credentials to be President – that is one-half of Republican voters. Seven in ten of all Americans feel the same way.
- Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has scarlet fever.
- Senator James Inhofe still believes that global warming is the “greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people,” but his position is getting lonelier in the Senate.
- French President Nicolas Sarkozy is facing a criticism for not taking a shower. Actually, the criticism is for the construction of a $350,000 shower that was never used, but Sarkozy said the money was for renovation of eight rooms.
- Hamas has banned elections on the Gaza Strip.
- After the Space Shuttle shuts down in 2010, it will be 2016 before the United States can send an astronaut into space.
