  • The 2010 census will have ground-breaking questions on gay couples.
  • Kenya will also be doing a census on gays. It is unlikely to be accurate, though. Homosexuality if punishable by 14 years in prison.
  • Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, commenting on a not-so-attractive political opponent, “she is more beautiful than intelligent.”
  • California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will soon be receiving a bust of Vladimir Putin. Schwarzenegger collects busts and will add it to his Russian collection of Lenin, Stalin, Gorbachev and Yeltsin.
  • The brother of Afghan President Hamid Karzai, who is suspected to be a major player in the opium trade, has been on the CIA payroll for the last 8 years.
  • The Obama administration’s new plan in Afghanistan includes trying to “buyout” the insurgency by getting Taliban fighters to switch sides by offering cash payments.
  • Ex-Senator Edward Brooke, a Republican and the first African-American popularly elected to the Senate, was awarded the Gold Medal of Congress for his nonpartisanship. He then asked why the current Senate can’t operate the same way.
  • Christopher Kelly, a former fundraiser for Rod Blagojevich, committed suicide on September 12. Toxicology reports reveal he died from pain killers and rat poison.
  • California’s Assembly will begin debate on lifting a 96-year-old law outlawing marijuana.
  • The Australian Sex Party has recruited a pole dancer as one of its candidates.
  • Abstinence-only sex education programs are having tough budget times.
  • The CIA lied or misled Congress five times since 2001.
  • Argentina may become the first Latin American country to legalize gay marriage.
  • The Iraqi parliament continues to be unable to setup parliamentary elections in January because it is unable to settle Kurdish claims on the oil-city of Kirkuk.
  • To the warm welcome of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, Sean Penn said the might shoot a movie in Venezuela.
