  • Kudos to South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham. “Most of the critics of Barack Obama who carry around these crazy signs would applaud Alan Keyes,” said the Republican Graham. “The people who are doing unfair and unkind things to the president says more about them than it does the Republican Party. But we have to say that’s crazy. Those who say the President was born anywhere other than Hawaii are crazy.”
  • If the next world war becomes a cyberwar, the UK is a major world power.
  • The GOP is embracing a pagan candidate.
  • The European Court for Human Rights fined Russia for refusing to recognize Scientology as a religion.
  • Iran has avoided a confrontation with the West by agreeing to ship its uranium to Russia where it will be refined for exclusively peaceful purposes.
  • Former Honduran President Manuel Zelaya has been staying at the Brazilian embassy in Tegucigalpa with 60 supporters. The Brazil government has asked him to par that number down.
  • For the second time in two years, Ireland is voting on the fate of the Lisbon Treaty, which is supposed to improve the European Union’s operations. It must be approved by all 27 nations to take effect, and Ireland is one of the last holdouts. Irish voters defeated the Treaty two years ago.
