- Raleigh city officials banned Mrs. Claus from a Christmas parade because they are afraid the children would not be able to identify Santa if both were wearing a red suit. I wonder if they are going to tell the children that Santa is not real too.
- In trying to ban same-sex marriage, Texas may have outlawed all marriage. At least it’s a way to keep the divorce rate down.
- Sarah Palin calls this porn? Levi Johnston’s Playgirl photos are leaked. The pictures are of a little butt and a lot of towel. I am sure no one wants to look at this link.
- An Egyptian court has confiscated that nation’s first graphic novel and fined the author and publisher.

- India has banned prepaid cell phones in Kashmir.
- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez offended Ugandan officials by calling former Ugandan dictator Idi Amin “a nationalist and a patriot” and then for good measure defended imprisoned terrorist Carlos the Jackal.
- Tensions between Venezuela and Columbia continue to simmer as both argue over the Venezuelan destruction of pedestrian bridges connecting the two countries.
- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev criticized Russia’s ruling party by stating that it was strong enough to win elections without manipulating the results.
- Washington State has the most regressive state income tax with the poorest paying 17.3% of their income to taxes and the rich just 2.9%.
