The chancellor of the University of Mississippi has ordered that “From Dixie with Love” be removed from the school band’s play list at football games. That was too much for the local chapter of the KKK who protested at the university.

I have to read this as a sign of progress. The KKK once spent its time beating people and trying to prevent desegregation of schools, buses and restaurants. Now they have highly decorated uniforms that they would not want to tarnish in a street brawl and spend their time protesting college band songs.

They need to get rid of the hoods though. Who else protests in elaborate masks? It kind of reminds me of a burqa for racists. I guess they need it because not many of them would dare appear on those steps without anonymity. By the way, aren’t these the fattest Klansman you’ve ever seen? It looks like they need to segregate themselves from the dinner table as a first step.
