This photo of Sarah Palin while she was on the Wasilla City Council is interesting. The brochure she has in front of her is titled “Con Con Call.” That is short for an Alaska Independence Party event calling for a constitutional convention.
Although it is not clear if she was actually a member of the Alaska Independence Party, some members of the party claim that. The video below addresses that. Todd Palin was a registered member of the Alaskan Independence Party from 1995 to 2002. Sarah Palin has been a registered Republican since 1982.
The Alaskan Independence Party is not your typical party. It seeks Alaskan secession from the United States. Most members consider themselves Alaskans first, Americans second.
