- New York State Senator Hiram Monserrate was sentenced to three years probation for cutting his girlfriend with a 40-stitch slash above her eye. They want to marry once the judge lifts the order of protection barring Monserrate from seeing his girlfriend. A few days ago, Monserrate voted against allowing gays to marry, presumably because it is immoral.
The U.S. has abandoned some bases in Afghanistan as unnecessary. The Taliban have entered those sites for propaganda purposes. In at least one case, Taliban soldiers took to exercising on an elliptical, presenting an odd image.- Barack Obama said it is not his “job strategy” to legalize prostitution, gambling and some drugs.
