Mitt Romney said that he needs the pickup truck to pull a trailer for his wife. Maybe that is so, but it must be a lucky coincidence that Romney got to drive it to an event where he was making a speech.

It will be difficult for Mitt Romney to come off as an average blue-collar guy. Scott Brown did that with his pickup, but Romney…I don’t think so.

There is no need to be to cynical about this. The pickup had dings on it and appears to have been used fairly often. Now, if Mitt had driven to the event in a spanking new GMC or Ford pickup, then there would be plenty off room for cynicism.

Maybe he is secretly a blue-collar guy. It is just that he has a lot of money.
