Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann is opting out of the full-body scanners at airports. She expressed fear that pictures of her might make it on the Internet, although no one has expressed a desire to see the Congresswoman that intimately yet.
By opting out of the scanners, Bachmann will be going through the pat-downs. It is difficult to imagine that is a preferable option. Knowing how grainy the scanner images are, it would be difficult to associate any photo that might ever be released with Bachmann, or anyone else for that matter.
Of course, if she has an unusual marking or has undergone a sex change operation that no one knows about, a scanned photo might make for some excitement.
Interestingly, her fellow Minnesotan, former Governor Jesse Ventura, filed suit against the Transportation Safety Administration, calling the pat-downs “warrantless.”
It seems that Minnesota politicians are a modest bunch regarding their private parts.
Satirical City Pages has an image of what a scanned Bachmann might look like. Gaze at it…if you dare.
