Dick Armey: Gingrich has Turned His Campaign into a “First-Rate Vendetta”

Former Texas Rep. Dick Armey has it right. Newt Gingrich’s campaign has turned into a vendetta. Yes, Gingrich would like to win the nomination. Barring that long shot, Gingrich wants to deny the nomination to Mitt Romney. The remaining primaries promise to be the nastiest, most mud-slinging affairs that we have seen in a long time. On the upside, it is going to be good entertainment.

Here is what Armey said about Gingrich on CNN’s State of the Union:

“I feel bad for him. I think he’s digressed into a state of taking a second-rate campaign and turning it into a first-rate vendetta.

“He’s putting himself out of the game, because he can’t get over his obsession over his own hurt feelings over the campaign in Iowa. He needs to get beyond that and get to the nation’s people’s business if he expects to have any chance whatsoever.”
