The former mayor of Turbaco, Silvio Carrasquilla, is one of Barack Obama’s biggest fans.
Carrasquilla, an Afro-Colombian, was elected as Turbaco’s youngest mayor at the age of 23. Over the last few years he has turned Turbaco and its large Afro-Columbian population into a hotbed of Obama supporters. The town has even held parades with Obama’s image and red, white and blue bunting. Click here is you want to see some photos of the townspeople celebrating Obama.
Carrasquilla even has his own version of the Oval Office in his home. It includes the Great Seal of the United States and pictures of Obama. Carrasquilla and most of his neighbors are hoping that Obama will visit their town. Upon the President’s arrival, there is a special gift for him — a donkey.
Named “Demo” after the Democratic Party mascot, Carrasquilla is offering Obama to take the donkey back on Air Force One. According to Carrasquilla, “Demo” has already been given all its vaccinations and is small enough to fit in Air Force One.
I’m sure he would look good on the White House lawn too.
While the chances of Obama visiting are slight, Turbaco is only four miles from Cartagena, the host city for the Sixth Summit of the Americas that Obama is attending.
Getting that donkey on the plane, that’s another matter.

Its COLOMBIA not Columbia you idiot
