Kurdish Donkey Party Unveils Statue of a Donkey in a Suit and Tie

The Democratic Party has a donkey as its mascot, but it has never done anything remotely like Iraq’s Donkey Party. Unlike the Democrats who have a donkey as a symbol, the Kurds have named their party after the donkey.

The donkey is special to the Kurds. It has an exalted status with the Kurds because it was used by Kurdish guerrillas for decades in their armed insurgency for independence.

Donkey Party Secretary General Omar Kalol even said he hoped that the statue will promote more kindness towards animals, particularly the donkeys.
