One of the great things about the political season is the ads. Yes, we get tired of the old, ideological rants that distort facts and become more common than a beer commercial for a sporting event, but there are always a few special ads. Candidates try to separate themselves from opponents by creating something outrageous.

That brings us to Roland Sledge, candidate for the Texas Railroad Commission. I’m not sure how former Illinois Governor and current federal prison inmate Rod Blagojevich plays in Texas, but it plays well in this ad. Sledge’s deadpan presentation is great too, especially as Blagojevich gets…well, you’ll have to watch it.
