Michele Bachmann
Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann has it figured out how the Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated the federal government, right up to an adviser to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Listening to Bachmann, a grand conspiracy unfolds that will devour the great United States of America.
When informed that Bachmann had broken the Muslim Brotherhood’s plans wide open, members of the Brotherhood responded with a resounding “Huh?”
Here are a few quotes from the GlobalPost:
“I haven’t heard these rumors, but they strike me as ridiculous,” said Ahmed Al Nahhas, a long-time Brotherhood activist and leader in Egypt’s second-largest city, Alexandria. “Surely the United States government selects its employees very carefully.”
…
“The Muslim Brotherhood can’t even penetrate the Egyptian government,” said a Brotherhood leader in Egypt’s Daqheleya province, Ibrahim Ali Iraqi, in response to the accusations his group had infiltrated top U.S. agencies.
…
“We are in a period of darkness because the country is still governed by the Supreme Council of Armed Forces — and they have a long history of support from the United States,” Iraqi said. “So it’s ridiculous that these accusations are leveled at us.”
Besides seeing a conspiracy that does not exist, Bachmann’s animosity towards the Brotherhood is unfounded. The Brotherhood may have its own version of fundamental Islam that is the antithesis of many Western values, but the Brotherhood is not a threat to America. It gave up violence decades ago. It has not engaged in a terrorist attack for 50 years. The U.S. does not even list the Brotherhood as a terrorist organization … but maybe that is because they infiltrated the federal government — if you believe Michele Bachmann.
