It doesn’t matter what your politics are, London Mayor Boris Johnson brings a flair and unpretentiousness to politics that is rare. British Prime Minister David Cameroon once said that inside Johnson there is a serious politician trying to get out. Let’s hope that never happens.

During a celebration of the Olympic Games, Johnson hooked himself onto a zip line and slid down as he waved two small Union Jacks. Partway down, Johnson became stuck. He dangled above ground for about five minutes as he led the crowd in cheers for the British Olympic team.

I’m trying to imagine any American politician doing this.
