Rep. Steve King Thinks that Rape, Kidnapping and Forced Abortions of Children are Legal

Perhaps Iowa Rep. Steve King lives in another world. One of those bizarro worlds where everything is supposed to be the opposite of what actually exists. Other than that, I have no explanation for the journey that is taking him to the deep end of politics.

Earlier, King took a position that he was in favor of allowing animal fights, such as dog and cockfights. Apparently, King has taken a lot of heat for thinking it is a good idea to cruelly abuse dogs and throw them into a contest where they are maimed or killed. King decided it was time to explain himself. King would have been better served if he kept his mouth shut.

Here is his explanation. Fortunately, it is backed by a video, because it would be hard to believe if not seeing this coming from his own mouth.

“If there is a sexual predator out there who has impregnated a young girl, say a 13-year-old girl…that sexual predator could pick that girl up off the playground at a middle school and haul her across the state line and force her to get an abortion to eradicate the evidence of his crime and bring her back and drop her off at the swingset and that’s not against the law in the United States of America,” King said.

Yes, this man is a Congressman. He votes on laws for you and me. Yet he thinks that the rape and kidnapping of a child is legal. Taking her across a state line is a federal offense in itself. And then there is a forced abortion. A child molester who did something like this would be national news.

Somehow, dogfights are supposed to relate to this. According to King’s reasoning, Jerry Sandusky must be innocent. King’s ability to twist reality into something that he wants to believe is frightening. I can’t wait until he gives his next explanation on why child rape is legal.
