The head of an Iranian think tank and a close adviser to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei announced that Jews are the world’s most powerful sorcerers, and they are targeting Iran. Mehdi Taeb, who seems to have delved a bit too deeply into Harry Potter novels, gave an in-depth description of the sorcery talents of the Jewish people.

“The Jews are currently subjecting us to an unprecedented trial. As you read in the Koran, [King] Solomon ruled the world… and God ordered a group of sorcerers to come out against him. The Jews have the greatest powers of sorcery, and they make use of this tool.

“All the measures that have been brought against us originate with the Zionists. The U.S. is a tool in their hands. So far, they have not used the full [scope of] their sorcery against us. Sorcery was the final means to which they resorted during the Ahmadinejad era, but they were defeated. “This ability of the Jews was eliminated by Iran. Five years ago they tried to oust Ahmadinejad [by this means].”

Hopefully, the Iranians have people as nutty as Taeb working on their nuclear weapon development. If that is the case, then the world won’t have to worry about an Iranian nuke anytime soon. But that is not the case and mixing nutty with nukes is not a good combination. We already have crazy and nukes in North Korea and that hasn’t worked out well.

The problem with Iran is that the paranoid thinking infiltrating the upper leadership makes it difficult to conduct any rational diplomacy. If there are other people in the Iranian leadership that thinks like Taeb, then there are going to be some difficult years ahead with a nuclear-armed Iran.
