In Alaska It’s Better To Be A Felon Than A Democrat

Despite an investigation into wrongdoing by Congressman Don Young, and Senator Ted Stevens’ conviction last week, both men appear to have won their elections in Alaska.
Young has a 52% to 44% lead over Ethan Berkowitz. Stevens has a narrower lead over Mark Begich 48% to 47%.

A few weeks ago, Sarah Palin stated that a bipartisan report on Troopergate “vindicated” her of any illegal behavior. Everyone else who read the report wondered what she was reading.
Now Ted Stevens has announced that he has not been convicted of anything.

John McCain and Congressional Republicans may have abandoned Senator Ted Stevens, now a convicted felon, but the Alaskan GOP continues to support his election.
